Rear suspension install question ..

Will be doing my install of illuminas and H&Rs this coming Thursday. Can anyone assist? Do i need to remove the black bracket (outlined in Red) before proceeding with removal of the two nuts in the strut? Seems like a VERY tight fit .. I want to make this install as seemless as possible.

Thanks for the assistance..!

There is no need to remove that bracket. You should be able to get to one of the strut mounting nuts from that big hole at the bottom of the bracket and the second using an extension slid through a convenient opening at the top of that same brace. I do recommend that you jack up both sides of the car at the same time, it will make removal of the lower strut mounting bolts much easier.

I used a long extension to unscrew. There should be enough clearance to fit behind that black bracket.

Nope. Don't remove it. Use long socket extensions and a U-joint to make it easy. How-to on my site.
