My 4DSC

Car: 2000 Maxima GXE 5-speed SuperCharged.
(No other mods...otherwise completely stock...even exhaust)

Dyno: DynoJet model 248...
Date: 3/31/01
Temp: 45 degrees
Humidity: 100% (raining)
Barometer: 29.7

Results:

Max Power: 246.9 HP @ 4600 RPM
Max Torque: 218.1 LB @ 6300 RPM

Adam's Excuses:

Excuse #1:
Based on the other 25 cars' results (who have dyno'ed on other dyno's) we realized this particular dyno was reading 10% less than everyone's previous dyno results.
So i figure the corrected HP to be about 260-270 HP.

Excuse #2:
I was running on my 19" rims as usual.

Excuse #3:
The MOST horsepower robbing factor was that I was STILL running factory exhaust...yes...with all 3 catalytic converters, stock y-pipe, stock b-pipe, stock muffler.

Looks like I'll be picking up at least 25-30HP once my 3" y-pipe, 3" cat & 3" cat-back are installed.

Can you post the dyno chart? All in all, you got about 57 hp to the wheels (Stock dyno is usually 190 to the wheels or so).

Very interesting that your max hp is down at 4600 rpm. Much more driveable than stock max at redline. Also interesting that max torque is now almost at redline. Not sure how that translates to driveability - seems like you would be shifting before you got to max torque.

Could you verify your numbers. It looks like you transposed the rpm numbers for your max torque. You listed 218.1 @ 6300. I think you meant 218.1 @ 3600. Making 218hp at 6300rpm is equivalent to 261hp, which is higher than your peak of 246.9.
