affordable no-squeal brakes

[FONT=Arial][SIZE=3]

I have Midas VST lifetime brakes (no parts charge for replacement) on my '95 that wear out quickly and sound like hell. They start squealing after about 5000 miles. Most of my driving is city/interstate driving.

What are some good brake brands/models that DO NOT SQUEAL, wear slowly, and are affordable? (Can I have my cake and eat it, too?)

Thanks.

Figures. Midas lifetime pads are cheap pads, thats why they squeel. Get some high quality pads and you will notice a big difference. I have been using the high quality pads from NAPA for years and never have problems will squeel. (they have lifetime replacement too) anyway thats my 2 cents!
