P0420 Code Eliminated!! :-)

Went to Mineke <~~~ spelling} yesterday to have new CAT installed, and poof, SES light went out today while comming to work. I will admit this time the dealer was right. sound has changed alittle bit, has alittle more mucle to it. So those of you with this code and have high mileage might want to check the CAT.

I got the one from Warpspeed for $100.00 its a high flow. So I guess I got about 3-4 hp out of it. installed for $60.

I solved my p0420 by replacing the O2 sensor. good find though. oh i almost forgot. After i replaced the O2 sensor 2 weekends ago my light went off. I then went to test for emissions and passed all aspects of Inspection. YEAH

I'm getting the same code too. Which O2 sensor did you replace and where is it located? Did you do it yourself?

I did it Myself and It was bank 1 sensor 2. If you look in front of the Valva cover (where your spark plugs are located) you will see four or five plugs. they are all O2 sensor plugs except one. I have the cali emissions setup not sure about you. The one i replaced has a white cord attached to it the has the O2 sensor wires running inside of it. If i remember correctly the O2 sensor was the one right in front of the Catalytic converter
