Y Pipe ECU Reset ...Please Help

I disconnected the negative battery terminal at 2:00 a.m sharp and I have to reconnect it for work at 7:15...i have been told 3 hours is enough and i'd imagine it might not even take that long...5 hours is enough right??? Also, I have a quarter tank of regular gas left (my neighbor filled it up with regular gas after getting it serviced as a favor and i've been trying to burn it off bc i use premium)...should i fill up the rest with premium or burn the regular off as much as possible first??? i'm hoping those few miles of regular won't stop what i'm tryin to accomplish with resetting the ecu during maximum performance...??

Did you just get your Y-Pipe installed? When I got mine done, I was told that the ECU would train itself... I didn't have to reset it.

you can reset your ecu if u want.. not really necessary .. but it will take a bit longer for the ecu to get used to the new mod if its not reset

Dude, you don't even have to wait 1 hour -- just push the brake pedal and hold it for a few seconds w/ the battery's negative cable disconnected... that should be one way to drain any residual power left, which should reset the ECU immediately.

Oh, and as for the gas... if you're down to 1/4 tank, just fill it up with premium. I seriously doubt it's going to mess with the ECU's retraining, and if it does, the ECU will eventually adjust to the premium gas anyway.
