Chrome OEM 17's

I'm not much for chrome, but curious - Anybody running these OEM copies?

I've seen those before. I don't like them. I don't like excessive chrome altogether. It's ugly. What I do like are the AE rims; they're just perfect.

IMO the OEM wheels are fairly heavy, so chroming them would add quite a bit more weight, which would not be worth it.

I have a sterling mist and am rocking the factory chrome. meaning they (dealer) sent them out to get cromed the exchanged it for the ones I had on my car. Cost me an arm and a leg but I wanted them.

i saw those on my color max (majestic blue) and it looked very classy. however i agreee that with the 17's as heavy as they are now stock and for the price you can get for seling them.. going with 18" chrome is a better option even if they might weigh a lb or 2 more per wheel.

I've thought about Chrome OEMs, but I think I'd rather go +1.

Oh, and @Icelandic-you can get your **** stolen ANYWHERE. If someone wants 'em, consider them gone.

Right now it looks a bit 4x4, but I'll be interested in seeing the results after the drop.

All in all I think chrome is the way to go. I've seen some cars the the Titanium edition wheels and just wasn't feeling it, plus when your driving on a sunny day the chrome just sets the car off. But, will definitely post some pics after I do the drop. Having 225/45/17 tires on the car sure doesn't help the gap at all...LOL..I have been waiting for these struts to come in for a while now...I am ordering the from my job but the trade off is it takes longer for them to come in. But for 300.00...I"LL WAIT!!! LOL

your car on your site doesn't look any different than my SE... Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought TE's were supposed to have chrome handles... Your rims look exactly like mine... I too have a sterling mist

Incorrect. TEs have body colored door handles, just like all regular SEs do.

Actually the TE rims are "coated" with a Titainium finish that when nice and clean like housecor's max they look brighter than polished alum but not as bright as chrome. In my opinion the TE rims look really really nice and I have them on my car. Unfortunately the original owner tried using chrome cleaner on them which as it states in the owners manual is a no-no. Thus my wheels have all these black discolorations underneath the finish which ruins the look.

I might consider having mine chromed as I think it will look good with my Black Max.

TE rims are dark chrome. Not quite as shiny as chrome but notably shinier than the normal alloys.

To me TE rims look like chrome wheels that need to be cleaned. Thats why I'm not too crazy about them. My friend had them on his 03 Max and pitted on him already..

Yeah, they do seem to polarize some people. I love them because I'm not really into bright chrome - when clean they have just the right amount of shine for my taste.
