JIC's and rust?

well i'm going to be doing my suspension soon. i remember seeing something about the jics and the coils possibly rusting due to a non rust proof coating?
is this true? i dont want to drop that much money for it to sh*t itself. i live in the northeast so i do have salt on the roads and stuff in the winter. is there something i could put on them to protect them? also how are the cattman co's? i know a few people have them but have never seen any feedback on how they are.

thanks

People say the jic's will rust because they have no dust cover. I have had them for like 2 months and they are fine so far. I had gc's for 1.5 yrs with no dust cover and they didnt rust at all. I think you should be fine. The jic's are the best in my opinion. Camber plates and 2 way height adjustibility come on the a1 and a2's but not in the cattmans or teins.
