Does anyone know if there is OBDII software that will run on latpop and connect to the ECU for realtime information? I recall seen something like this on the forum but cant rememember. I basically want to see engine parameters in realtime with laptop.....

Here is the one I use, it works with both laptop and Palm.

However its not just software you also need the hardware and the software will not work on hardware from another company etc.

I'm just kinda ****ed..upset..because I ordered it from the site for $250 and then found it on half.com for $100 less and now I need to return/repurchase it from there.

what kind of info can you pick up by hooking it up to ECU. does anyone have DYI on how to hook it up. id assume it is plug and chug...

You buy or make the hardware. The software is free. I've used it on my 2000 maxima engine and my '96 maxima. I've also plugged it into a astro van and a dodge SRT4.

Works great and was a good price.
