Hesitation after 4K rpm.

As of today my car has begun to hesitate after 4K rpm. it almost feels as if the MAFS is blown again, but it'll rev past 2500 rpm. it actually feels totally normal up to around 4500 rpm then it kinda jolts, but will still rev past that. i don't have a CEL and i haven't done anything to the car other than an oil change and air filter cleaning and light oiling on my WR Dragon intake, but that was almost 750 miles ago and all was well until today. I checked the hose on my intake and it seems fine, no holes and is fit snugly on both ends. anyone know what's up with my car?

You need to clean the MAF sensor...

yup...he is rite....I had the same exact symtoms cured by cleaning my MAF sensor. But if you have money to spend you could just buy a new one and keep that as spare.

should be covered...but they will want to have proof its bad so it will be some kind of fight with them am sure, specially since in these cases there is no SES light

I use CRC electra kleen, its pretty safe on the sensor and effective....

ok, i cleaned it and all was well last night for about 15-20 miles worth of driving. then all of a sudden today on my way to work it started doing it again but worse. i cleaned it again at work and all was well again for the ride home and then it all went to hell. the car revs like a turd, even at idle. it's almost identical to when i blew my MAFS accept it will still rev all the way through the rpms. The SES light came on too. i'm kinda stumped.

Put back your stock airbox and bring it to the dealer, provided you're still under warantee. I did just so and they gave me no hassle for replacing mine.

i take my car to poughkeepsie nissan. the guy i usually talk to is a good guy, the first time it blew i told him i had an aftermarket intake on and he just said to put the stock one back on before the schduled appointment. i'm not sure where it went to though, it's been a while since the last time i needed it. maybe he'll let me squeak by with the WR intake on there and still be covered under warranty. i have an appointment for tuesday.

I had a horrible experiecene with them. They wanted to charge me for a wheel alignment that was due with my safety recall, i ended up going to bob sharpe nissan out in CT , and getting it done.
