Installing rear sway and front strut soon . . . :-)

Progress rear sway bar and OTTO front strut bar are on their way and I can't wait to put them on...I'm not lowering my car however because i already bottom out from time to time no matter how careful i am (which is very very careful) in worcester when at college the majority of the year bc no matter where you go the roads suck pretty badly...i'm hoping there is still a significant increase in handling and severe lacking of body sway around corners. :-) Opinions???

i have otto front strut bar, and Progress RSB. I can feel the RSB working, but the front didnt make much of a difference. My friend did tell me that my steering wheel wass a bit stiffer than his with the FSTB on though... so i dunno.

These are great low budget mods though. Highly recommended.

Maybe you don't feel that much of a difference with the fstb because you didn't lift the car off of the wheels. I remember my friend telling me that there isn't going to be much of a difference at all unless you lift the car off the ground and put it on.

thanks polak, i had another question. does the progress rsb require any shaving? or is it a direct install? when you install the fstb and rsb, let us know how it goes!

its a direct install for the RSB.

I got the FSTB from procarparts, and the RSB from the Cattman GD we had a while back...

hmmm.. this is something to think about... so i just jack up the front two wheels, and just install it again i guess....

NO...that's not how you install it....you want the car to be flat on the ground...

If you pick it up the two fenders will be farther appart....why would you want that? You want the strut bar to pull the fenders in not out

i have the exact same ones. love them!!! RSB is like night and day. i cant tell much diffirence with the FSTB but it looks cool.
btw, RSB isnt exactly a direct install. you have to relocate the e-brake line. it comes with a ziptie to hold it in place. its a very easy install

what about the otto FSTB. does that require any shaving? ive read somewhere that one brand of FSTB's require you to cut a piece off. is this the case with the OTTO? thanks

I used ramps to put mine on, but it'd be a whole lot easier if you can put it on jackstands and remove the rear wheels. The e-brake is behind the wheel so its pretty hard to reach with the wheels on.

ok people are getting the RSB and FSTB mixed up.

FSTB - flat surface, not lifted
RSB - can be lifted. jackstands are the easiest
