Continue the Trend

Hello all,

I ran a 1994 Maxima for 6 years until some drunk female rear-ended me and ruined my sweet baby. I have sinced obtained a 2002 SE Maxima. The best body style along with the 3rd Gen. I have already started in on my new car. Just wanted to drop a post to say long live the Max!

Welcome to the org! There is an abundance of information here if you want it. I'm on my 3rd Maxima and 4th Nissan. They are pretty good cars.

I had 177k on the 94 Max, and was running very well, and there is just over 50k on the 02.

Congrats but I want to let you know the White for 2002 is no longer Icleandic Pearl its Glacier Pearl, different colors. So change that under your user info, and you purchased one of the best colors that looks great on the Max.

Excuse my misrepresentation. I have always enjoyed white Maxima's. My 94 was white. Doesn't seem to be many white Maxima's floating around this board.

Welcome! I went from my '94 (after 5 wonderful years, to an '02 as well. I put 155K on it, but there was NOTHING wrong w/ it when i traded it in. The paint was still glossy black (original) & looked brand new. Just wanted to change it up. You'll be VERY happy w/ the 3.5. ENJOY!

Well maybe your upset about the whole ordeal but I'm sure you'll end up good so don't be too p-o-ed(as long as you don't have any after effects bc of the accident on your body)..... HOWEVER consider yourself lucky....last fall I was driving on a main road in Middletown, CT around noon time, great weather all was great (I was in my JEEP grand cherokee) and waiting at a red light with my ex-girlfriend. Some moron with an old Olds. rammed into me totally screwing up his entire front end all the way to the steering wheel collapsing on his legs. I had a hitch so basicly the frame took the pounding and all I had to get was a bumper cover (estimate @ ~1400 I paid 300 for a new one and put it on)....the impact in the JEEP was so strong and quick that my neck seriously hurt for a few weeks and my gf had to go to the chiro for a few visits to get her str8ened out.....

whats the point of the story? THe guy that hit me was also drunk (in fact had a keystone in his hand and a cigarette when he wiggled out of the car)....consequences:

1) Sobriety test (passed, however wtf? driving with open containers is illegal I though)
2) No insurance on his vehicle
3) Stolen registration plates (Can you believe the front and back ones weren't even the same numbers!)

= Verbal warning for following too closely, no arrest, nothing Which is WHY I HATE our local cops, I called them and talked to everyone and basicly it boiled down to the fact that he gets in trouble weekly and they can't keep him in jail for financial reasons. Took him to small claims court, won my settlement, got jack **** bc he has jack ****

so at least your alcoholic has insurance which will pay you

Geez....I can't believe your local cops handling this like this? This guy must be a relative of the police chief or he has some pictures or something??? Seems totally unacceptable to me.
