2002 front brakes

2002 front brakes
Max has 28,000 and is ready for new front brake pads. Would like to do this job myself but this is my first car with ABS.
Is there anything special I need to know replacing pads on this car?
Any tips you can offer ?? Thanks.

I have 29k on my 02 and my fronts still have a lot of friction material on them. Do you do a lot of city driving? Check your PM also.
rotors are in great shape and I could probably get another 3K out of the brakes but why take the chance of scoring the rotors. Thanks

And turn the rotors, Pay the $10-15 ea b ecause everbody seems to have trouble at the 30K mark
