I would have to say the song that hits and does not peak out and rattle the speaker itself would have to be Magic Carpet Ride by Steppenwolf. It hits

Ummmmm

Well I have 2 15 year old's that love to play bass in my trunk and with that in mind any and everything hits hard and deep in my car but I would say bass in any song below 50hz sounds the best.

Re: This is the best song!

I have always wondered about the name of one of the songs used in one of the first (Or THE First?) 2000 Maxima Commercials. The song I am referring to sounded like the beginning of "Hippie Chick" by the B52's at the first of the commercial and then evolved into a "James Bond" movie soundtrack like thing at the end. Hmmm hope I described that accurately.

Has anyone compiled all of the songs that have been used in the 5th Gen commercials?

m-flo

after being bored with American muzak, i decided to play a little bit on napster (downloading someone's entire list) and i stumbled upon m-flo. they are AWESOME! a little hip-hop, r&b, rap, and a whole lotta soul. though they're in japanese and i don't understand most anything they're saying, they're international students who also speak perfect english. check them out.

warlocked!

I know what song you are thinking of. I don't know what the name of the group is but I have the cd. It is on the "Matrix soundtrack". If it is the same song that I am thinking of....it has no lyrics....and has a piano playing at the end of the song.....and the bass bumps in that song....only a maxima nut would like the song because it was brainwashed into our minds about a year ago.

i know of a lot that will make my car use the boss system hard but i think the best one is my 3 min siren. all windows(moon roof) down and turn it on full blast cruising down the highway. I have this CD that plays the siren like a cops car for three minutes straight. i cruise down the highway and people just get right out of my way most of the time....make sure no cops around though. You can see everyone tapping there breaks when it's on....really funny. i got this guy really freaked once cuz he was goin 100 easy in a 55 zone and so i turned on my siren when drove up to him telling him to pull over with my fingers(pretending i was an under cover cop)...he pulled over and i kept going straight.....it was so funny then he started chasing me(no chance in hell can he catch up with me).

Good question, I don't think so, maybe Kev can help w/ this. Why do u actually have an MP3 of the sirens? Now that would be even funnier. I gotta try that sometime, but I'd probably crash from crackin up so hard.

What Songs Bump

I've been playing the digitally remastered "The Band"CD, sometimes called "The Brown Album". The drumming is great you can really feel it in the back.

Another good one is Pink Floyd The Wall Live, my kids love to sing "Hey, teacher leave those kids alone".

So far everything sound good to me!

Hey slick - thanks for the suggestion. Went out this weekend and picked up Moby's "Play". Some tunes are on the slower side but there's some on there that simply R-O-C-K... er... uh, I mean T-H-U-M-P!

Awesome!

"Bumps"? I say it "Rocks". Sorry, I must be old.

I would probably say that anything by Fuel sounds great in my car because they are great f***in band. Any Limp Bizkit also does reall well.

Re: Re: AMERICAN WOMAN

Another good one I forgot to mention would be Depeche Mode's Ultra (couple of really good ones on there - can't recall their names except for "It's no good", "Uselink" and "Useless" (these last two kinda go together)). "Useless" guitar work reminds me a little of Dire Straights (a popular band in the '80's for all you whipper snappers up here ).
Hey, that's one of my favorite CD's. I never really liked "Barrel Of A Gun" until I played it loud in the maxima. Now I love it. "Useless", however, is by far the most excellent song. Long live those drug-abusing Brits.
