is this possible?
My brother was driving around in my car the other night and some mustang gt pulled up on him. I don't like the fact that he does highway races because I got a ticket in cali for doing 107 which includes a 30 day suspension. Anyways, he raced the mustang all the way close to 125 to 130 ish. He said at about 110 he pulled away from him and then the mustang did the most awesomest superflyby. Is this possible? I don't doubt the powers of a 3.5 but i really don't know about my 3.0 I don't doubt my brother either because he had our friend in the car. The only explanation I could think of is dying top end for the GT. Please don't flame, I just want to know the truth.
Btw, Im a 5 speed.

Well mustang GT are not unbeatable car, many 5th genners report killing a stang, but it all depend the year of the GT and the drivers, cuz the recent model a quite fast for a 3.0L N/A so it's possible that your brother got him for a while or maybe the stang driver didn't wanna go faster, or he just beat him and the guy saw he would not win so he slowed down.
With a 5 speed it's possible, I have a modded auto and sometimes ago I was in a industrial area where there is basically no car on week-end, so I 'm waiting at this light and a stang is align next to me, we both knew what would happend when the light would turn green, the stang was an auto & older model maybe 92-96 but was in very good condition, so as soon as the light turn green we both punch it, I had a really good jump start and took a 1/2 car on him and stay that way until the road was ending about less than 1/8 of a mile, so I dunno if we would have race 2 miles what would have happend, anyway the guys was cool and we both end up at the Canadian tire and talk for a while.
Cheers

When I had the chance to look at the speedometer we were going 130 and he was ahead of me 1/2 a car. I dthink I did pretty good against him. Ohh btw mine is an auto 01se
