$259

That was for 35% here in Atlanta with a lifetime warranty to never fade, bubble, etc. Other places were cheaper but I thought they had a really good product. Good luck with yours.

Funny you ask...

I'm getting my car tinted right now as we speak. I am doing a alarm/tint package with Avital 2300 and Johnson Titanium Tint (35%) all around. Both have lifetime warranties and it's going to set me back $300. I'm getting it done at The Tint Shop in SoCal. When I pick up the car this afternoon, I'll give more feedback. Good luck.

$250 for the lifetime warranty tint all around. I think it looks pretty good. I got mine done at Sunsations in Bridgeport, PA. Whatever you do, make sure to get the lifetime warranty type of tint. It's sprayed with metal particles instead of dye.

this type of question depends on where exactly you are located, see here in FLA everyone has tint on there windows so its relativly cheap and there are pleanty places that will do it for $100 but once you start going up, so do the prices

Man, you guys get ripped pretty badly. I have the platinum tint on my car. It's the top of the line. It has platinum crystals in it that make it look tight. during day it's looks like a dark blue fire. when there is cloud cover, it looks like the mirror tent. Only diffrence is that it's legal and you can see in it a little better. All for 180 in cash. (200 but in cash = no tax) Also a life time warranty by the tent producer. Meaning I can take my car to any tint shop for them to fix my tent.

metallic tint and radio reception

Does having the metallic tint have no affect on the radio reception, since our antenna is wired into the glass??

I want to have mine tinted, but concerned that it might affect the radio. I haven't seen anyone complain about it, so I guess it is not a problem???

Actually , as long as the tint does not cover the black matrix, there is no reception loss accept when you have a radar. Radar, from what I hear do not work that well with metallic tint.

I paid $150 for all 4 windows and rear. 20% all around >=[]

And my rear window got covered fully (over the dots), and i checked the AM stations, and found no reception loss. But they aren't metallic tints.

Tint cost

On my 97 SE I had it tinted for $200.00 at Ziebart with a 20% off discount for showing my AAA (American Automobile Association) card.

$270 with the best tint available, IMHO. Formula One tint is nothing short of incredible- both the Maxima and my wife's Jeep Grand never even get beyond warm even in the Hawaiian sun. The cost included doing the sunroof.

GaMax, You got yours done at SolarWorks in Roswell, right? That is what I paid for the same 35% Millenium. Fantastic stuff and with it's faint green tint, it makes my green 2k1 look seamless.

Depends on who you talk to. This was brought up in the past and some say that a metallic tint has a huge impact on AM reception and some on FM. While others say that it has no impact at all.

Tinting and radio reception

Well, if it is only AM that gets hurt, no problem. I can't remember last time I tuned into an am station (how do they stay on the air). However, I don't want FM affected either.

But if all of you that have had yours tinted haven't had any real issues, then I guess it's not a real problem.

thanks.

I got all 4 windows done with 30% (I think that's right) for $100. Including lifetime warranty and all that.

$240 in Seattle for the lifetime warrantee metalic film.
Don't cover the dot matrix at the top of the rear window as
covering your antenna will kill reception.

Mine was $300 for 35% chrome all the way around. The place is here in Richmond and has won a bunch of awards. They do really good work and of course give a lifetime warranty. Just make sure that you get the one piece back glass and not the two piece.

I went to California Tint Auto Accessories in Rosemead, CA to get mines done for $120 cash for all 5 windows. It was 50% for fronts and 80% for rears. They used Solar Gard Titanium tint for the car, and includes lifetime against bubbles and fade. While waiting for my car to be done, I asked them about their customers and I think they said Longo Toyota/Lexus, Goody Honda/Acura, and a Mercedes Benz dealer uses them to do tints for their cars on the back windows only. Here in Cali, tinting in front is illegal no matter how dark/light they are. But, hey it depends also on how **** the local cops are also in enforcing this law. Just be wary on your laws. Good luck...
