I called one of the Nopi shops here in the Atl looking for a black Ooglie Antenna for my 01 AE, the guy quoted me a price of 45 bucks !!!! I've since called other Nopi shops and performance shops and nobody has any in stock, some dudes don't even know what the #@*! they are.
I've searched the threads, guys have them but nobody has a listing of where we can get one.
I need HELP, anyone on with any info on a site where I can order one, PLEASE !!!!!!

Hey Kev

I remember you telling me about a shop in SF Area, (www.autofreak.net). How good is this company? Are they reliable and dependable. The reason im asking is cause they have a antanna that i liked and its around 20 dollars, but i just wanted to make sure that if i do order from them i wont have a problem. thanks.
by the way for the person looking for antannas heres the direct link. ANTENNA

and can someone help me decide which antanna would look good on my I30t
Earth Antenna 4
or
Dress Up Antenna/ Short
Thanks

Re: Hey Kev

Yup, Autofreak is a pretty nice place. They're one of the larger stores in SF, so they have lots of stuff to look at. I would have to say they are very reliable and dependable, but I've never mail ordered from them so I can't speak on that.

IMO, Dress Up Antenna short looks better than the other one.

I don't get it

I don't get it - what is an Ooglie antenna and why would you want it if it's purely cosmetic? Could someone explain this to me?

Thanks

It's a fashion statement... like stickers or headlight covers or painted calipers...

Aren't the aero kit and spoiler basically cosmetics? We don't drive fast enough to use them...

Carbon Fiber dash kit... cosmetics
Superwhite lights... cosmetics
aluminum pedals... cosmetics
door sills... cosmetics
aftermarket shifter... cosmetics
the list can go on.....

thiklava,

Have you tried Best Buy, Circuit City, or maybe a cell phone place in general? I quit going to NOPI: wasn't worth the drive to any of their stores.

I don't have a problem because I will not drive through the automatic car washes.

That antenna looks similar to the one we have.

I use to do it to my other car and it left swirl marks all over the place. It's also fun cleaning the car because you can take pictures right afterwards.

tru tru.. i'll probly do that when it starts to get warmer, but for now, there's a place by me that runs a special every weeknite from 6-9, $5 to go through the wash while you sit in the car, and a quick hand drying.. not too bad a deal, i do it once or twice a week, sometimes 3 times

Do they wax too? That's what takes the longest. Live life on the edge and give your car a wax job.
