Strut bar
Strut bar
I saw a few strut bar / tower braces online when searching for springs and shocks. I don't see to much chatter on here about them.
Are they worthless?
Who on here has one?
Did it help body roll?
Would it be worth buying?
Which brand is best or are they all nearly the same?
Thanks

Otto and stillen make nice ones...
I have an ebay one thats generic.....It may have some performance and safety gains....
mostly the rear sway bars are what prevent body roll in our cars...
I felt a difference in my cars handling afterwards...but also changed the tires at the same time so not sure wich one made the most improvement. Yes a lot of people swear it helped them too....
I have heard a few say they dont help...i say get one.......if $ is an issue get an ebay one for 20$ plus they look nice

Rear strut tower bars mount in the trunk. The lining covering the rear strut towers will need to be cut to get access to them. Also, after installation, the access opening from the trunk to the cabin will be blocked by the bar.
There used to be a person on eBay who used to sell a 'Trust' of Japan RSTB for the Maxima for about $30 or $35, but I haven't seen it for a long time. Stillen sells one for $$$. Like a FSTB, performance improvements depends on who you ask. Some swear it makes a difference, some say they feel slight improvements, and the rest just say "well, at least it looks good."
If you're going to keep your suspension relatively stock, go with a rear anti-sway bar and a lower-cost front strut tower bar. You should be able to get both for around $200 nowadays if you go with the Cattman/Progress RSB and a generic or OTTO Racing FSTB from eBay.
Peace.
