The oil pressure light goes off right when the car is started (normal), but then 1 second after starting, it flashes on for less than a 1/2 second. The oil level is right at the full mark, and its parked on level garage floor. It seems to have started at roughly the same time as my last oil change (Nissan filter, Mobil 1 5W30). I notice no difference in performance, no wierd noises, light never comes on when driving, etc. Any suggestions?

 

+1, My car just recently did the same thing.....although, I've also noticed some more pronounced engine noise.....

 

It's probably the filter. Nothing to worry about.

 

My 2k did exact the same thing everytime the car was first started in the morning. I speculate it was something to do with the filter. If you are using the 15208-9E000 filter as I do, then I think there is something wrong with this filter, most likely is the faulty anti-drainback value or something else I don't know. But one thing for sure, Ill never use this filter any more.

 

My '01 Maxima just started doing this. I switched to a Wix filter and it cured the issue.
