Triple Gauge Pod?

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has ordered the triple gauge pods from
Custom Maxima for a 2002 Maxima? How is the quality? Any complaints with fitment and service? I've emailed them with a few questions last week but still no response. Please help. Thanks!

what are you putting in it - clock, thermometer, and, um, a compass? j/j

but seriously, kind of having all those gauges if you're not boosting.....just my opinion though. And you know how opinions are like a s sholes - we all have em!

Well, I have an NX wet kit on the way so I'll be needing some gauges to monitor the essentials...A/F ratio, nitrous gauge and I'm thinking about getting a fuel pressure gauge. Someone must have an opinoin about those gauges pods??!!
Thanks for the replies guys.

ok my bad...since you didn't have a sig or www. I figured you might just be stock....I see alot of ricey civics and tercels around here with triple gauge pods and I KNOW those POS's aren't boosting or spraying.

personally, I like the few maxes I've seen where the guys put A/F and fuel pres. gauges down in the center console (I think 1 guy had them where the ashtray and cig lighter are and the other one I saw had them mounted on the front end of the door handle where you couldn't see them from outside the car....

I have 3 Blitz gauges mounted on top of my A/C vents in some mounting cups. They are pointed towards the driver and match the color of my white gauges at nite or day. Is my car rice ? BTW the AutoMeter A/F gauge is just for show, its not good. I have a WideBand 02 sensor I use for tuning and comparing the Autometer to it is like comparing a speedo from a 05 Ford GT to a Ford Model T.... nothing alike. I will take pics of my Blitz Oil Temp, Oil Pressure and Coolant temp soon. It kinda looks like the 350Z gauge setup.

hey hey don't get all defensive...it's rice if the gauges are just there for show....if they are USED for tuning, performance, etc...its not rice....and you have to agree, alot of people get gauge clusters just for the looks. come on, admit it!

I aint defensive I was just messn... I have white faced gauges cause I like the bright look in the day light with fire engine red KM/H and black MPH markings on them- it looks verry nice. Only drawback is they are indiglo... so I have to live with that part of rice, and my indiglo Maxima SSteel door sills. The gauges are too expensive and rare to be rice - Blitz ones that is. A/F Meter is my own breed n butter design that cost me almost nothing.... and its more accurate than some dyno widebands.

You can see pics of my triple pod, from custommaxima, on my cardomain site... also, you can see my pod on custommaxima's website, under Roy... http://www.customenterprise.com/view.../vts/design004

EDIT: Oh, and to answer your question, very easy to install, no fitment problems, perfect color match (although paint chips off easily if you're not careful)

I can kinda give ya guys a glipse at what it will look like. I'm waiting for my Greddy oil block adapter that basically serves as oil temp and oil pressure sensor mounting spots for 2 of my gauges. I love JDM gauges, I disslike the cheap feel of AutoMeters- but some people like em. The cool part is the SSteel lines look killer when looking through the windshield of the car from the outside. The gauges use mechanical sensors so oil or coolant travels all the way up to the gauge in a trick SS line. Its best I can explain it with no picture. I will try to find a decent picture of similar setup online right now.

Something like this right above the center vents.. but not molded toghter but in these types of cups pictured below...

With these types of gauges...

I have the white ones in the center in 52mm size.. in these AutoMeter mounting cups that fit the gauges perfectly in the middle of the dash right above the center vent, angled towards the driver and the clock is still visisble to my eyes

If you had an aftermarket head unit, you should just put the guages underneath it in the next slot.

Its a Neon SRT-4, I was using it just as an example since I don't have mine mouned yet. The oil filter adapter from Greddy just came in so I can install the gauge lines etc.
