My roomate has a 1997 5 spd SE and his clutch is somewhat stiffer and requires less precision than the clutch in my 5 spd GXE. I did not test drive a 2k SE so I could not tell if there is difference in the 2k models.
I now realize that I spend more energy gauging my clutch or I will stall compared to my roommate.
Can anyone back this up? If so then can I get the dealer to adjust my clucth or do I need a new clutch?

I have an 01SE and the clutch throw is long and light...so yes I have to be more precise or i will stall as well. You can't do much about it. I just had my clutch replaced (faulty master cylinder) and it used to have a harder throw, but the new assembly is light and when I asked if there was anything I could do to change the feel, I was told No, this is the way it is!
