Hey all,

remember those Raybrigs that we all got excited about that were selling for $33/pair on Ebay a few weeks ago? Well, i just got back from my parents' house for spring break and i saw them. the quality is not that of REAL Raybrigs. The lens is blue, yes, but as you can tell, there isn't any dichroic material on the glass. on the real ones the dichroic is a yellowish color. i'd have to say it's a pretty good job for those that don't know... even the case and labeling is pretty convincing, 'cept the is NO CONTACT INFO. yeah, again... pretty good job... you guys know i have the real Metal Whites and THESE aren't it.

I also talked to the guy at Raybrig USA and he was saying that the Metal Whites only come in 55/60watts. For those of you who got them, they're obviously 100/110watts. i got a little suspicious the other day, but thought nothing of it. heck, i thought that Raybrig had a "special" line for imports or something... guess not. it seems many of us have been had.... doooood... what am i gonna do?!?!?

SUCKS!!!!! i bought THREE pairs TOO!!!! ARRRRGGHHH!!!!!

Anyone had to deal with this crap before on ebay?!??!!?!?

hellllllllllllllllllp..............

(i was thinking of pawning them off again on ebay, but that's not very nice...)

Start with contacting the seller and see what they say...

Dang!

I bought one pair. I had the APCs in, and when I put one "Raybrig" in to compare, I noticed no difference in the two. I thought I might just be too critical, so I left them in and decided that I would try PIAAs next time. Glad I didn't pay $70 for the fakes, considering I paid $30 or so for the APCs! I don't feel too ripped - it's like I bought an extra set of APCs, but I sure would have liked a pair of Metal Whites. Next time I'll buy from a reputable dealer. Curses!

I think e-bay has some sort of dispute resolution policy.... look it up.. you're prolly protected from things like this somehow...

If not, call your credit card company, they might be able to help (assuming you paid by credit card)
