tripod gauges

I was just wondering what gauges are usually used in the tripod gauges. what are their uses; in other words, what do they measure?

It depends what you want. For NA, I guess you could have A/F ratio meter, Oil temp, and one more. For FI. you could have A/F ratio, oil temp, and boost meter.

Also I think it is triple gauge pod, not tripod gauges.

don't waste your time with the "just for show" A/F gauge. How are you gonna adjust the A/F on your Maxima ? there is no screw on it like ur dads old Chevy wagon..... where the mixture screw was on the Carburator. Also I always think a car should have a oil pressure gauge ! If you are going FI I would suggest, Oil Temp, Oil Pressure, Engine coolant temp, EGT, Boost/vacuum, plus a wideband 02 sensor with a S-AFCII. J&S knockguard if you are serious about making lots of power
