Problem: Alignment or rotors?

When I'm on the highway going 65+ and I hit the brakes fairly hard I get a shuddering in the sterering wheel. My initial thought was that I needed an alignment but the car isnt pulling at all. Could it be warped rotors? Thanks

99.99% the rotors are getting warped..
resurfacing them will last you another 2-4k miles..

i suggest getting new rotors... Brembo ..
maxedup sells them for really good price..

your rotors got warpped cause.. nissan engineers got a little lazy in the brake department..
also the rotors are too small to stop the weight of the car..

i'm on my second set of rotors..
your rotors will warp at round every 25-30 k normal use and if your a mad man probably alot less..

yes even with Brembo

the whole issue is the thickness and the size of the rotors..
brembo is a liiittle better but will still warp

if u want to not botther with warrpage annymore or in a long long time.. your best bet is a BBK
there are various makes .. depending how much u want to spend
there is a the Z32 upgrade ( ~ $500 )that derrick is offering
there is apracing (~ $3000) that Top Element Tunning is offering

There is 300zx upgrade with 04 max rotors ( ~600)
and there is the 04 max rotors with stock calipers for (~360) offered by Blemco.

its your choice on which one u want.

The 04 rotors sound like a good alternative...Are there any fitment issues on an 02 w/ the calipers or anything?

Do the rotors from Maxedup fit the 5th gen? Does he make them, or, what brand are they?

as long as u have 17" wheels or bigger there shouldnt be any clearance issues..

the kit comes with 04 stock maxima rotors and relocation brackets for the calipers..

however i can provide u with 04 Brembo rotors for little less .
