Stainless Brake Lines
Stainless Brake Lines
I am getting new rotors and pads and was thinking about stainless steel brake lines, are they worth it and if so, where can I get some, how much should I expect to pay, and what would be a good brand to go with. Thanks
~$100-120ish... I bought mine (Techna-Fit) from Automax_95 in the Group Deals forum. I think it was $105 shipped or around there.
I haven't had any trouble with these. I've heard great things about Goodridge SS lines too.

I have the Goodridge SS lines as well. They are well worth the money. Try www.makeitfast.com I only paid $120 shipped.
The only thing you need to worry about with the SS lines is possible rubbing. Make sure you tie them in where the stock lines ran and install the clips on the struts. If not then they can rub and eventually break. One of mine did, and let me tell you it sucks when it happens.
If you are going for looks, then SS lines are a nice addition but not visible from more than a few feet.
If you are concerned about brake fade, then SS lines are an improvement but not as much as additional pistons (better calipers).
My $.02, no offense intended. I put them on my car for the looks and for the additional benefit.

I got mine from www.horsepowerfreaks.com, I belive I paid like 109 shipped for them a while back. I didn't notice much of a difference. Gonna see how its going to be with the TTZ/Blehmco kit.
