Weird Shifting From 1st to 2nd(Automatic)

Hey guys. I have a 2002 GLE and was wondering if this was normal. Sometimes during the shift from first to second gear, the rpms will rise a bit(~200 rpms) before they come down into second gear . This causes the shift to be a little longer(~.5 seconds) than usual. It feels as if there is a lag in the transmission and does not feel smooth at all. Is there something wrong with my car??? Thanks!

Car has 28k miles.

Sounds like a slipping tranny or your MAF can be dirty...sometimes that can happen.

slow, delayed, or skipped revs during a 1-2 shift normally indicates a faulty TCM.

There are quite a few that have run into this same problem (myself included) and after taking it in, the slipping between 1st and 2nd is no longer an issue.

I have the same thing happen occsionally. Depends on how much gas I'm giving it. I took it to Nissan under warranty and they said the TSB did not apply to my car. I checked the VINs and they were right. Mostly happens if I kick down to first at half to 3/4 throttle and the upshift to second takes longer than it should. Normal takeoffs are okay, though. I think the TCM or solenoids have gremlins.
