Maxima Nismo Parts

When will Nissan get off their butts and offer us the performance parts (not just t-shirts and oil covers) that were supposed to come out in late spring/early summer for people who dont own sentras or 350z's? I want to mod more on the car, but having the warranty too for the parts is amazing...if there were any maxima parts that is.....
Any clues anyone when that time will be?

never...if you hadn't noticed, the maxima is becoming a big luxury sedan....not exactly the target audience for tuners (which is what Nismo is looking for) - the Sentra, Z and Alti are much more "tuner" cars these days...

btw, what EXACTLY are you looking for from Nismo that you can't get from another company. A ton of stuff is available for the maxima from companies that make better stuff than Nismo that costs less. Remember, when you buy Nismo, you're paying for the name as much as the part.

But really...tell us what performance parts you're looking for and we'll tell you where you can get them. Or, look around the org for a while - we've all been able to mod just fine without Nismo.

As long as the Altima continues to have tinny, thin sounding doors and poor NVH levels, I'll continue to consider the Max the flagship. Even the new Altima's haven't resolved these basic cost cutting pains.

Not only that I Looked somewhere about the Max 2Y4 and they (NISSAN) are thinking to replace that model completly in 2Y7 because the performance and mods with the alt are too similars with the only difference in (thin sounding doors and poor NVH levels) as you said, also they are looking for diference kind of motor.... So it will be 4.0 or something else?????? Because Z series R is coming Ali's too so that exacly means MAX Se-R will be here also?????

So just thinking about it

when you do that, you're getting a little too $$ to have NISSAN on the trunk. Sounds like an INFINITI to me....

how many maxima owners would actually pay top $$$ for nismo parts? most maxima owners now don't even shell out for power mods like headers but invest in bulbs and intakes.

and why pay $$$ for a overpriced nismo part. Most of the nismo crap for the 350z's don't even make much power in comparison to other company products.

true... http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/ro...0405scc_nismo/
a 350z with an addition $15,000 in Nismo parts put down minimal gains. the car still looks good though the only benefit of having Nismo parts is having the dealer warranty and that is not always guaranteed.

dealer warranty is only for s-tune parts. Most of the other stuff such as headers, exhaust, cams, etc is R-tune... which is NOT warrantied.

oh, and the s-tune parts are only under warranty if installed by a nissan dealer. Good luck being charged $250 labor for a simple nismo intake

labor...ouch...

im sure the nismo parts are there to cater to those owners who find it convenient to buy from the dealer parts dept. instead of some "no-name" manufactuer which happens to make a better efficient product.

its all about brand name...

the companies that compete with nismo products are actually very high end (ie hks, greddy, tomei, etc)

the goodies from nismo that the 3.5 maxima guys run are made originally for the 350z/g35. Nismo cams or products for that matter usually aren't the first choice among Z owners cause so many other companies make parts for their cars.
