Different Optima Batteries?

This might be a stupid question, but i picked up a yellow top at a local store today, and the terminals seemed to be on the wrong side so it wasn't a good fit. I was under the assumption that there was just one general optima battery, but is there one specifically for our car?

I went though what you are going through already. Optima told me that I needed the orange top. Some people have gotten the red top to work but I wasn't comfortable in stretching the postive mount that far. I just said forget it and kept the stock battery.

Well if you rotate it then the positive and negative terminals would be on the wrong side. I guess i was just ignorant and bought the wrong battery. Btw, thanks for the model number i'll go check it out.

I wish I could use that setup, but i have a PR CAI and the air temp sensor that is attatched to the stock harness won't let me get the positive around to the side terminal. I'm just gonna try and return it.

if you want an optima battery. get the redtop 35/75. you dont have to bend or stretch anything. fits nicely.
