lol,
i dont think there is a light that stays is white/bluish and then turn amber when turn signal is used. i would probably say that its illegal, but my friend has a super white turn signal on his 2k1 and didnt get pulled over for it yet...

I've been driving for 2 years now with PIAA extreme white front turning signals (W2 bulbs from piaa) and haven't been pulled over yet. I've seen other GM cars from the factory with white front turn signals so I guess they are not illegal.

actually i think in florida it is illegal in both, i got pulled over for my rear ones, so i asked a number of cops about it and they all said amber in front amber or red in back, thats all you can have, my cousin even gave me color codes of what is illegal(he is a cop)

actually, the law is this. as long as SOMETHING is amber, then your'e safe. you can have all the "white" lights you want, as long as something produces an amber look, that is your turning signal, and all others are accents. same goes for the rear. amber or red, whatever.
i've gotten pulled over because my side markers are clear, but then i point out that my actual turn signal is amber, and then they realize that i am, in fact, following the law, and then get me on tints....DOH!!
accent lighting is the getaway answer. that's not a turn signal officer. it's just accent lighting.
