G-Tech HP results
Just got my G-Tech Pro today- did'nt have time or place to do the 1/4 mile deal, but I did do the instant HP function. The manual says it measures road HP, not crankshaft HP,so the results should be lower than whatever your engine is rated at (in our case 222). Nissan says a base 5-speed car weighs in at 3200#, so I added 140# for me for a total of 3340, I launched at 2900 rpm & got a reading of 226HP in first gear! This is a totally stock 5-speed SE with a full tank of gas! Anyone else a with G-Tech got any HP results? I have suspected that Nissan under-rated the VQ30DE,does any one else have any input?

GTECH HP measure is WAAAAAAAAY off.
Dont kill the messenger.
With my civic I dyno'ed the car & compared the results to my GTECH's figures...lets just say it was a 40HP difference.
And my weight was correct because i weighed it at Etown Raceway just a few days prior.
The GTECH HP function is just off plain and simple...
The 1/4 mi function is also off by 2/10ths & 3-5mph...
Still a good tuning tool though...
Worth the $139.
