K&N in my 2k maxima

Anybody notice any difference in power or milage. It doesn't seem like there is a difference. My only thought is that at 222hp a potential 5 hp bump isn't going to seem like that much.

Like you said, there is no way to feel a 2% power increase, especially because it arrives at top end. Gas milage-wise, it possibly improved on my car, but 20 or so extra miles per gas tank could be accounted for by many variables like traffic, ac, drivng style - in othere words the difference is probably marginal at best.

The K&N filter will give you a slight increase in air flow, but at the cost of reduced air filtration. Is it worth it, probably not. I would stick with the paper filter.

If your talking about the "factory style" K&N it's just as easy to install as a stock paper filter. I've had one on my 91 max for 3 years now and just disassemble and clean it once a year with the cleaning kit. I've had a really big mf one on my 96 GMC Yukon for more than 5 years now and it still cleans up really nice.
