Gas Pedal hard to press!!

Sup all,

I have a little problem with my max. When I dont drive my car for awhile I notice when I get back in to drive it the gas pedal sometimes is kinda hard to push down for like a second. Once I'm on the road its fine and it runs with no problems. I just thought it was kinda weird. Anyone experience a problem like this? or even know what the hell I'm talking about?

Wow, you're lucky you don't have a clutch, talk about hard!

No, I don't know what you're talking about, hmm...

Its probably the cable attached to the pedal at the end.......i'm assuming if thats how it works. I haven't looked into how it all works ever since I got my 2001 SE. I used to work on my 1986 Pontiac Grand Am all the time. Step on the pedal, the throttle would open up and the engine would rev up. I don't know if this is the same with the Max, but have your friend hit the gas and watch something move. Follow it and see if thats the culprit.

your throttle body is FILTHY ! Clean that shi.t out and it will open just fine. I seen this happen alot on engines that don't get driven much or sat for too long. When I do JDM engine swaps into Civics and Sentras, 240SXs the damn throttle body is like seized up totally and takes forever to work itself apart. All it takes is some cleaning and they good as new.
