Hello,
Has anyone put the AE pedals on their 2000? I want to order them (BTW, what is the guys name at South Point Nissan again?), but want to make sure they fit and that you don't have to do to much drilling/cutting/ripping apart to get them on.

Thanks in advance...

Seth

There are two scenarios to putting AE pedals on a 2000:

(1) Straightfoward swap, with the help of a nylon spacer. The spacer costs about 50 cents.

(2) Swap the entire gas pedal arm with the gas pedal itself already installed. Late 2000 produced vehicles have a different gas pedal arm, which has a metal bracket on the back. You can cut the bracket off and use a nylon spacer, or contact David Burnett at South Point Nissan 1-800-254-6060 (Retail Parts Dept) for a full replacement. Don't know the cost of the complete arm and pedal.

The first thing to do is use a mirror or get down there and look behind the gas pedal arm to determine if you have a square bracket behind the gas pedal.

I have version 2 - earlier built 2000 maxima. Pedal and arm didn't cost that much - I will check and repost, but I was thinking about $30 + Shipping, but don't quote me on that. I still haven't successfully installed it yet!!!
