April fools!!! JK...

Seriously!!!!
I just came back from leaving my car at the service dealer. If you hear some kind of sqeaky whining noise after turning your engine off, there's a recall for your car. . They explained to me that it had something to do with the engine mounts and other parts in the compartment causing the whining noise. I've had this problem for a while & didn't think it was serious. Boy am I glad I brought it in today.
There is also a recall on the reardeck rattling when music is played loud. The rear seatbelts are the cause or that's what they said. Didn't explain it thoroughly but if you bring it in, they'll fix it under warranty. So bring it in!!!
I will post more after I pick my car up later on...

I am guessing this engine mount problem is only for guys with an auto tranny right? If you have a stick, the engine mounts are different.

I got my car back yesterday evening.
New brakes and rotors..... Yey!!!!!
New engine mount is coming next week. They didn't have the part so I have to wait.
They didn't fix my reardeck b/c they think the extra subs I have in the trunk is causing the problem...What a bunch of Idiots.!!!
I have to go back after I remove it. There's a tsb for this so all the ppl with this problem should take your car in for service.

Gordon.... I didn't have any probs with my tranny. What do you mean by upgrade? level 10?

UMD_MaxSE... I don't know if the engine mount problem applies to sticks.. If you hear a funny noise imediately after turning the engine off, then you need to change the rear engine mount.

Oh yeah...(This is for NYC ppl only) If you mod the car in anyway, it destroys the warranty. So if you have an intake or something that can be removed easily, I suggest you change it back to stock b4 bringing it in. They'll give you a hard time if you don't.

It's not up to the dealer. It's federal law. They have to prove that your modification caused the problem for the warranty to be void. Don't let them tell you any different.

So you're saying that the sign that they have up on their wall is illegal? Hmmm......

yes, the sign on their wall is a lie..thats what I'm saying. Ask them to show you the part of the warranty that says its voided by mods.

Ok, on page 3 of my "1995 New Vehicle Limited Warranty":

This warranty does not cover damage, failures or corrosion resulting from:

Accident, theft, fire or misuse

Alteration, tampering, or improper repair

Installation of non-Nissan approved accessories or components

Improper installation of any Nissan approved or aftermarket accessory or component

Glass breakage, unless resulting from defects in material or workmanship

I think this explains that the aftermarket part has to CAUSE the problem for the warranty to be void. The mere presence of the part does not void the warranty.,

Hey RBa, it's kind of strange, I have a similar weird noise when I start the engine, like if something is loose, so mentionning engine mount would make sense to me, cuz when the engine is running, I dont have that problem. I just notice the problem over thelast week. Never had a single problem so far I guess it was just a matter of time.

Thanks for the infos.

Cheers
