Finally cleared my HIDs *PICS*

Yesterday I attempted to install my angel eyes but considering they came with no instructions and no offense but housecor's directions couldn't help me
either cuz I'm an idiot when it comes to hand-ons stuff. So I had the stuff to clear the housings and wanted to get something done yesterday so I did it.
The first one I kinda melted the plastic on the bottom of the housing a lil
cuz I did it for 15mins @250. I also cracked part of the internal housing because the clear plastic I got from tap plastic is just a lil too big and I tried to force it in there. Anyway so I ended up having to use some epoxy to hold both in and you don't really see evidence of it unless you are 6 inches away from the car. Anyway, I also replaced the bulb behind there with some orange ones I got from autolumination.com and I somehow managed to lose one of the LEDs that was in my clearance lights but they were blue compared to the ones I have in the sidemarkers so I'm ordering another set anyway. Coming soon custom clear taillights... enough of me blabbing here are the pics.

I had piaa super plasma but because I had my fogs on in the winter they cracked and the one bulb blew. So I replaced them with piaa crystal ion.
I wanted my fog lights to actually be fog lights and not just another light.

That looks great! I desperately wanna do it to my car, but i'm afraid to screw it up and ruin my HID's. I'm almost at the point of paying someone around here to do it for me.

You do have to take out all the bulbs so you shouldn't be afraid to mess those up.

Cool. dba199us is going to help my clear mine and install my DDE's this coming weekend.

Jason, what part number was it for the amber bulbs you got from autolumination?
Or can I just buy them from Autozone?

Thanks

IMO, that mod is the equivalent of red/clear tails for the 4th gen... It looks so much better, I can't understand why nissan didn't do that from the factory.

Damn I would have installed the DDE's if you opened your housing, but I guess not everyone is good with their hands.

I agree and they should have given us 02ers and 03ers, clear lenses in the rear instead of that orange. They could have/should have did it just like they did the 00/01 SE's.

Yes I lost one of my LEDs while clearing them out. So I just unplugged them for
now until I get new ones.

Is there a write-up on how to black out the HID housing? That looks sick! I might as well do it when i clear out the turn signals. (like GeSeKeE19 said)

PoLo did it to his Gray Lustre, but I can't find any decent pics of his headlights installed after blacking them out... Ask him to take a pic, he's always happy to help out other org members.

i started it at first, but then i stopped. why, i forgot...but i just never did it....
oh wait, now i remember. that was the headlight i sent to umnitza when the angel eyes were first getting done. the only reason i did the "blacking out" was cause it was a spare headlight, and i wanted to test it out.

here are some pics of when i did it to that one headlight, but these are all the pics i have. so don't ask for better or daylight, etc.......

i personally feel that 2 colors that shine may not look as good. that is why i left it as flat black. it'll stand out more. then again, there is really only way to find out.
