Check out my new 300zx calipers!
Yeah, def take teddi's advice. If it's polished, that will be a b!tch to keep clean. Definitely clearcoat it and wax it before you install it.
Oh, and it looks sexy btw...I wouldn't mind using those for a REAR BBK.

i bought them off of ebay and the guy had them on his 300zx, do you guys thinks he already put a clear coat on their or should i just go ahead and put another coat on myself just for good measure. Also will the clear coat make them easier to clean ( I would think so)?
wow!
very shiney. Chrome is not my cup of tea, but sure to catch your attention. As for the clear coat. If you do have them in your possession, it should be clear whether or not its been hit with clear. Save yourself some hassle and give them a clear coat and a GOOD dose of wax.
Surely wont want those to get pitted. Would be a shame.
Some thoughts:
1) Patrick. You can't use those for the rear brakes. Not unless you want to give up your parking brake. hehe
2) If they were on the car, I doubt they look as shiny as in the pictures. If they are still that shiny
3) When I cleared mine, the shine went down a bit. Could have been me though
If there is no protective coating, it will tarnish pretty fast.

Niiiiiice!
Now you just need my Front and rear BBK to go with it. Start hunting for some high-polish rears to go along with those.
on the clear coat- I wouldn't recommend doing a powder coat on them. It will be better looking at first, but the clear powders have a tendency to yellow over time with high heat. I'm not sure whether it will on a caliper or not, but I wouldn't want to take the change of spending $100+ on powdercoating them only to ruin the finish.
try a good clear lacquer first-- find one that's high temp as well, if possible. high temp clears are hard to find, but they're out there.

I'm not into chrome, but that's definitely different. Actually, that's probably one of the few chrome mods that I think might actually look decent if you could keep them clean.
