I plan on locating my intake tube foreward facing below the car in a hole cut in one of the plastic splash guards directly below the nub (where you hook up the tube) on the stock intake. My concern is water. If it is raining, will water be sucked into the engine, or is this a silly concern? I know water will probably not make it up the tube, but i was just wondering if ANYONE has had any problems with this.

I have heard something on the board about a pump... I dont want any of that. I just want a tube to ram the air into the engine. But before I do this mod, i am just wondering if i should be concerned?

A few comments on this:

1. I live in seattle and have had no problem in the rain with my oscai.

2. Our scoop is exposed to water when it rains and that is the stock setup... again no one has reported problems with that either.

3. If the lower ram air tube gets submerged air should be sucked through the scoop opening rather than the water being sucked up the tube.

4. If you're still worried, buy and AEM bypass valve and integrate it into your OSCAI.

Hope that helps.

Other's have mentioned shaving .2 seconds off their 1/4 mile. I don't do anything that I can measure but it definately feels stronger than the Pop Charger I had on. My tube just hangs straight down... I didn't angle it forward to go for ram air.
