Droppin it and need help

Okay so i got the money saved up and im getting ready to drop my car. I decided on the s-techs because i want the lowest possible, but now im trying to decide on struts and i need advice, preferably from people who have actually tried out s-techs with both tokico blue and illuminas. I want to know is it really worth it for the illuminas. I have read ALOT of stuff about how good the illuminas and read about the blues. I just cant decide.
Another thing i have a question about is do you think it would be worth it to buy used struts, or just buy it new? Not too sure what to do and the difference is huge between new and used. Thanks alot in advance

With the S-tech drop, I would get the illuminas because they are designed to handle a bigger drop. The blues are meant as an OEM replacement and would probably handle a subtle drop fine. (Eibachs, Maxspeeds) Also, the illuminas are adjustable so you can tune the ride to your liking.

As far as used struts, it depends on how many miles were put on the struts and what kind of driving they have been through. If a driver abused them, they're likely to blow faster, but if they were granny driven, then that's another story. I'd just be safe and buy new struts.

When it comes to suspension, save up and do it right, the first time.

I have the S-tech with the illuminas. The drop looks great. Since the streets in chicago are terrible, the ride will be rough. You get used to it though. Car handles so much better than it used to.

I have the Eibach/HP Blue set-up and IMO the HP Blues do not hold the Eibachs and that's as conservative of a drop as you can get. From that, I will assume they won't hold the S-techs either. Personally, I would not buy used shocks. that's just my .02. good luck.

I have never had a new car, i bought the max used over a year ago so i dont know what it would feel like new, but i hope it isnt worse than it is now... 60 k miles on stock struts, SUCKS... but thanks alot

I believe an .org member by "housecor" has a bunch of pics with different drops and I believe he's running that set-up as well.
