it's a 5 minute job. you can rewire the fogs to work without the headlights. HOUSECOR has a nice write-up with pics and good detail. (its a matter of cutting the yellow wire with 2 sivler stripes and tapping it into your parking lights)

My fogs turn off when I activate the highbeam. I did the fog rewiring.

yea i think it would still do that with the headlights on ...but the point of this rewire is to have the fogs on without the headlights.

Here is a link to wire the fogs to stay on with the high beams.

http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/571536/2

I did it and it works great and it is very easy.

This may be a dumb question...

Can you do both rewires. In other words can the fog be tied into the parking lights and also stay on when the highbeams are switched on?

what does that mean strip the wire from the step 4 of Igor's write-uphttp://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/571536/2? and what's the splice and how to splice from housecor?

You need to strip the insulator from the end of the wire so you can insert and crimp it in to an inline or butt connector. You then take another piece of wire strip one end and crimp in the other end of the connector and take that to a constant ground .

I think he has you do this because once the high beams are swithced the fogs lose ground, meaning the circuit is open or shorted and the fogs won't light.

Hope this answers your question

I wrote that write up. Both re-wires need to be done to make them independent and to stay on w/ highbeams

No an inch should be more than enough to crimp on to.
Look at the picture again on step#4 it should clarify things for you

I Just Did That. Who Drives Around With Your Parking Lights On And Fogs? You Can't Even Have Them On With The High Beams
I'm Gonna Jump It To A Seperate Circuit I Think So It Has Full Power 24/7 At The Flip Of A Switch. Any Ideas On That One?
