Problems with the Stillen Y-Pipe

Alright, purchased a new stillen Y-Pipe from Stillen last month, had it installed and a week later one of the welds started to leak allowing exhaust to escape by the Cat. In addition there were signs of rusting starting on the pipes and I live in California. The leak was between the weld and the pipe, not the weld and the flange. Whatever the case is, I wanted to drive down to Stillen and have them switch it out, which they wouldn't do. I informed them that I paid to have it installed and that to remove and pay to have it installed again would cost me. I felt that had it been a couple of months I could understand, however a week after installation, they should have at least given me a discount on the part.

Whatever the case is, I ended taking it off myself and returning it to them. After a little hassle over the phone they switched it out. They wanted to repair it and mail it back to me and I informed them that it would be unfair to me to have to wait for something that I paid for that had a 1 year warranty. Besides, my car was now down and I didn't want to go through the trouble of pulling the stocker down from the attic and reinstalling it back on the car only to have to take it off a week later to reinstall in Stillen Y-Pipe.

Bottom line Y-Pipe is on. The finish looks 100% better than the 1st one that I received from Stillen and I am keeping my fingers crossed on any leaking or rust issues. By the way, lost torque with this mod so I may be selling it.
