another brake thread

I Know this is the 1,000,001 time this has been covered, so I appoligize in advance. I am looking to get new rotors and pads for my 03 GLE. I am looking at slotted or drilled rotors and right now I am leaning toward Powerslots. Does anyone have any experience (good or bad) with the Powerslots? Are there different levels of the Powerslots or are they all the same?
I also need a good recommendation for good ceramic pads. I have heard that drilled rotors are not a good choice for colder climates as the cold weakens the rotors. Does anyone know if this is true?
I would like some recommendations for brake combos. I want something that is quiet with as good or better stopping power as the oem brakes. I am open to any suggestions.
If anyone has any good web sites that have brake parts for cheap I would appreciate the heads up. Right now I have found the front Powerslot rotors for $85 each plus shipping. Does this price sound reasonable?
Thanks.

I don't know a whole lot about Maximas (I'm new to the Maxima world) but I'd assume the same would pretty much go for all street cars... you don't really need to waste your time/money on slotted or drilled. The only real reason you'd do that for a street car is for looks. If that's what you like, go for it... but there's no real performance benefit. Others (I'm sure) will argue that the slotted or drilled dissipate heat better but this theory only works on racecars where you're building SERIOUS heat and constantly on the brakes hard. Not on a street car... normal driving is plenty to cool your brakes off

Carbotech Engineering make some street pads (http://www.carbotecheng.com/) Also, I've heard about drilled rotors being weakened and I beat the crap out of the ones that I had (don't have them anymore... came off a donor car) and I saw some fine stress cracks but nothing huge or troubling

Best bang for the buck mod I would recommend would be stainless brakelines. Give you a much better pedal feel and give you better confidence in braking.
