Shoule I put a bra on my max?

I am so tired of seeing the paint chips on the front of my max ...so I was wondering if its a good idea to hide them with a bra?

With the exception of old women, I don't think people should use bras.

But that's just a personal opinion.

They look about 1,000 times better on black cars than they do on white cars, but I still think a clean front looks better than either.

A good friend of mine collects Vets and has a BMW. He puts a bra on everything and then removes it when he goes to shows.

I think bras look bad on a max.
But deflectors look hot, check it out:http://www.customenterprise.com/view.../vts/design004

I have one for my 00 white Max and it looks just fine. I don't use it all the time just when I am doing any freeway or country driving where bugs and rocks are present. It is sure nice to wash my car and not have to scrub off bugs and discover new chips in my paint. The deflectors look alright but the bumper is what takes the beating. I think it was an excellent investment. Just make sure if it gets wet you take it off and not let it dry on you car.

You will barely see it ... ever.

I am forced to park my car outside. I have a bra on my grey 00 and it looks great. Should I be taking it off when it rains, dentonmax (or ne one)? It has a cloth interior which is nice on the paint and the exterior is "leather". What happens if i let it rain and dry? We get nuff rain here in NY. IMO, a bra is necessary if u want to keep the bumper from lookin beat.

I've had bra's on 2 different cars...

Personally, I wouldn't recommend it. It can look good, and can save your paint. But like someone said, you can't let it get wet and leave it on your car. Moisture gets underneath, and can do far more damage (over time) than paint chips.

Bottom Line:

If you plan on using it sparingly..

If you plan on leaving it on...

To be more specific about the moisture damage...

Example:
I had it on a red Mustang. Over about 2-3 yrs, when I took it off (after leaving it on), the paint was a lighter color than the rest of the car. Was it noticeable? YES! From a distance? YES!

To be fair tho, it was an aftermarket paint job, so MAYBE factory paint wouldn't fade as much.

Still, those results are enuff for me to decide...

Like someone else said i think it would look good on a black max which i have but I don't want to go through the hassles of taking it off every time it rains or I wash my car. I was my car @ least every 2 or 3 days!

Maybe i will think about having my bumper repainted next summer then putting on a clear bra...watcha think?

Why not consider one of the clear bras like 3-M. I understand that the material is now warranted not to fade for 6 years and it covers the entire front bumper & everything.

Sometimes it is a hassle to take it off every time it rains but when I see the bugs splattered on the bra instead of my paint I don't mind. If you own a brand new car or get it repainted the clear bra is definatley the way to go. Personally I like the way my car looks without the bra but I live in Texas and the bugs and rocks would destroy the front end of my car if I didn't protect it and it does not look [I]that bad at all with it on.

the hood and bumper on her are chip central. i do a lot of highway driving, and I should have put on the clear 3M. once i get the front repainted, i am going with the 3M. i have the magnetic bra, it only covers a small area....

IMO. bras are okay is used on country roads or highways. they just take away from the looks of the car...

I had a nissan bra (nose mask) on my 2K all the time... only took it off once in a while to clean the dirt out from underneath it.

Had it on in the rain, going through the car wash, etc... and didn't have any problems with the paint - on the sunlit sand color.

I had my magnetic bra on my 2K2 for about a week. While at a body shop, having a little touch up painting done, they got water underneath the magnet bra. When I took it off, it had left a glazed look to the paint underneath it. I'm going to have to have it clayed and buffed to get the stains out.

So i took it off and bought another Nissan nose mask to use...

I personally like the way it looks on the maxima... makes it look meaner...

on my old camry, dark green, i had a bra on it for a year or so... maybe it was 2 years, i dont remember. anyways, when i took it off the paint was quite faded. It was a factory paint job. Thats the main reason I havent used a bra on the Maxima, fear of fading paint

Get the 3M clear bra. No fading because the UV rays go though it.
