udp and timing?

i installed a udp couple of days ago, and i noticed that there was a lag after shifting into a gear w/ a bit of throttle. if i stay in a gear for a while, then give the car gas in the same gear, it feels fine. anybody know whats wrong? im thinking it mite be the timing? or something. the belts are on pretty tight but not super tight. any help would be great.

what kinda UDP pulley you install ? any check engine lights ? There is a reluctor wheel on the stock pulley and a sensor installed on the engine that reads the position of the crank. I don't think the tranny behavior had anything to do with the UPD.

If all else fails go back to the stocker and see if that solves the problem.
