Oil leaking

Very upsetting, i come out of my house and see a small puddle under my car, i looked under the car and the front left panel is it called, the plastic thing right bye tire, the back of it is soaking with oil. Not very happy about that. How much you guys think it would cost to fix that.

Sounds like it is from the oil filter. Maybe it's not tightned. Did you have the oil changed lately? It may be oil that spilled from the filter and was never wiped up.

yeah but the oil filter is on the right side near the passenger side tire..he said the left side. BkMaxima2004, please clarify - it is the driver's side (left) or the passenger side (right).

if it's the passenger side, I agree with DAP - probably an oil filter leak.

I'm assuming he means the front left looking at the car and not sitting in it. I don't think there is many places for the oil to leak from the lower drivers side.

yeah I think so too, but just making sure so we're not on a wild goose chase trying to help diagnose his problem....

that's why you should always use "driver's side" or "passenger side" instead of "left and right" to avoid confusion....
