Still having problems starting after a new starter???
About 3-weeks ago the car died on me, so I knew it was time for a new starter(LOL). So I installed a new starter and everything seem to be fine until today. I got in the car and tried to start it and the car did'nt want to start. It seemed like it was hard for it to turn over, and when it did the rpm slowly went up to 1k and then it died.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What in da world could it be?????????? The car has a new battery too!!!!!!!!!! I just don't know...................
Does the car crank fine? If it does, than its not the starter. It could be alot of possibilities. It could be Crankshaft sensors, ignition switch etc... I'm still trying to diagnose mine as well.
Put a fuel pressure gauge on it, I just did a auto to 6spd conversion on a 00 Maxima, and it didn't wanna fire up. I check fuel pressure, nothing. Car has like 65K miles on it. Fuel pump is getting power, the fuel pump control module and relay are all working. The pump itself wasn't working at all. I got it fired up using a Walbro fuel pump from a Mustang. I repleaced a fuel pump on a 96 Max, my boss' friends car- car would sometimes die out after taking a turn. Nissan couldn't diagnose it, took me whole 30 min to diagnose its a pump.
