Question on the MAF and a few quick questions

I've noticed quite a few people mention that the MAF on the 2k is a recurring problem. I've noticed my 2k isn't as quick off the line as it used to be. It hesitates. Which is leading me to believe that may be my problem too. I'm not as knowledgeable with the mechanic field as i'd like to be, so if this sounds stupid I apologize.. haha. Which part IS the MAF? Is it the entire black intake box? By my understanding, that's just the box that holds the filter. Which i've changed a few times. If anyone has a pic of the MAF, i'd greatly appreciate seeing it.

Which kind of leads me to another question. Is it worth it to change over to a K & N filtered intake? I've been thinking about changing over to it. But is there a lot of work involved in doing so?

I'm so glad I found this website. It's very informative and it's pushed me to want to modify my Max. Plans are to change the suspension and the headlights so far. I want the Angel's Eyes setup. I've seen a few of your Max's with them on and they look f'n smooth. What's your opinion on the ride with Progress springs and Illumina struts? I'm looking for comfort first, but I also want to cut down on the body roll when i'm taking curves at high speeds

My baby's mostly stock, but i'm wanting to modify it to make it an original. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

ok as far as the maf sensor goes it is about 3" round and one end of it is square there is also a plug with a bunch of wires going to it.. but i dont think that is your problem
usually when that goes the car doesn't run good at all it goes into fail safe mode. check it out here its the pic of the jwt pop charger

as far as the k&n filter it ads about 4 hp i have one in mine now you can't really feel any difference
