2002 SE tail lights to 2001 SE tail lights does it work?

i want the black 2001 SE tails for my 2002 SE with the chrome tail lights...
is there rewiring envolved?
has anyone done this before?
tips?

i just finished doing this and as far as i can see there is no problem. I havent actually installed the lights yet, just hooked up the wiring from the stock 02 SE to the new 01 SE taillights and they work fine.

I did the swap w/ another org member. There will be PLENTY of people (00-01) that would love to swap their tails for yours in your area.

Make sure you swap the harnesses out together w/ the taillights.
Also heat up the silicone around the tails w/ a heat gun/blow dryer before prying them out. It'll make your life a lot easier.

so basically if i pick up a pair of 2k1 lights i need to take the bulb harness also, then do some rewiring.... correct?

you just need to make sure you have the bulb harness that comes with the 01s..no rewiring will be needed if you have the harness that comes with it
