Exhaust tips/mods for 2001 AE?

Well, after searching the FAQ's and not finding any help, I turn to the forum for some guidance. I am in the process of purchasing a 2001 AE and was wondering if there was any way to enhance the look of the exhaust without having to get a whole new system. The car itself is amazing but the exhaust exit leaves a bit to be desired. Thanks for all the help.

I don't understand why Nissan didn't put this finishing touch on this special edition Max. Several people here have added tips to their Max, but I'm not sure what brand they used. I'm sure that they will respond. The first mod I did to my AE was to have some plain angle cut chrome tips added by a muffler shop. $35 - $40 and I'm very satisfied with the subtle result. I've got a picture on my web site, if you're interested.

The tips are generally Magnaflow 35131's. I bought them online at a great price (i think $17 each) but haven't had a chance to install them yet. Here are some pictures from another AE owner (looks great if you ask me...)

get the 3" magnaflow tips. you can order them online from http://www.justmagnaflow.com/Tips/SingleWall.htm model 35131.

i just received my order and they look much better than stock. i had some cheapo pep boys tips welded on previously but they're pretty much rusted over now. hopefully the magnaflow tips last longer.

you have to cut where they cut down. then you can weld the tips at that point.

Thanks for the help guys.....I think I will go ahead and purchase the Magnaflows and take them to performance muffler here in Norman to get welded on. What should I expect to pay for the work?

EDIT: Just Purchased
