Hi sup everyone. I drive a 2k 5spd. just wondering wats a good aftermarket clutch? I heard the ACTs are nice but are pricey. I saw the ones in ebay, they are the excedy and eclutchmaster ones, does anyone have these? do these cause any problems or should i just get the OEM ones. and i want to change the tranny oil also how many gallon should i use?

Clutchbastards suck, don't buy that clutch. Exedy is just fine, our stock clutches are made by Exedy. I just installed one for a .org member yesterday and it feels super light. I am used to my semi heavy ACT clutch.

Ive heard the exedys cant take any hard 1->2 gear shifts to much. They start slipping in some time.

Exedy doe not make any FWD VQ clutches that are "performance". If you want performance then go with a Spec, ACT or Clutchnet. Stay away from JWT, they use the same vendor for PPlates as Clutchbastards ( Clutchmasters). I remember around 2 years ago I called up JWT for a clutch on my 01 and was told 300 bux for just a pressure plate, plus another 100 bux for a copper disk. I was like F-dat, and got myself a ACT. I'm on my 2nd ACT right now, anyone whos been in my car will tell ya it rips 3rd gear tire chirps. 1-2 shifts result in what I call a roll on burnout- my car has much larger tires than stock, I dunno what the stock 205-65-15s would do with the power I have now...
