I bought my 2001 SE this past November and made a point to my girlfriend and her three kids (ages 11, 10, and 5) NOT to eat or drink in the car. I know that having kids is tough on a car, but I talked with them all about it anyway.

I do find myself mildly upset when I find drink containers and crumbs on the seats, but I try not to be too **** about it. When I talk to the kids about it, my girlfriend does get mad though, usually accusing me of caring more about the car than about them.

Sheesh! A Maxima lover just can't win sometimes!

Phew......

And I thought nobody could be as **** as me. Apparently I was wrong. Like most of you I don't eat in my car. I may carry a coffee in the cupholder but usually don't drink it until I'm stationary. At least the cupholders are easy to take out and clean if there's any spillage. I laughed so hard when I saw Slick's and blackY2Kmax's posts. I thought I was the only person to carry take-out food in the trunk to avoid stinking up the interior. God I love my car

Nobody eats in my car but I do drink coffee in the morning. Luckily, no spills yet.

ROTFLMAO!!!!!

Ok I confess I have eaten in my car. I usually can't wait to grab some fries b4 I get home. Otherwise no eating!!! Drinking....ok (only adults though). I'm very **** with car.

Oh and about the sex thing......NO SEX. I've been told that sex in ur b***h with ur b***h (not my words!) is a big NO-NO!, and it's bad luck. This has been told to me by many people! So...no sex in my MAX!....sorry girls.

Haven't been able to figure out how to chew Skoal AND food at the same time so it's a non-issue. As for beverages, not a prob as long as the cup holder is used between gulps. Oh, and only beverages with sealable lids and/or straws can be used. And only when the car is not in motion. And, and, and... well, I guess that's it.

As for the puking incident someone mentioned up here... my wife took my '98 on a business trip and one of here "collegues" puked all over the passenger floorboard going over the Tappanzee Bridge (i.e. no stopping there to let her out). Took me months to get the stink out. It still came back when it was hot outside. Needless to say, no more business trips for her (uh oh... better post this, my wife just came in). Whose whipped?
