Where did this go? Used to be in yj's sig. I did a search, but I'm not 100% sure what the thread title was where he posted it. Anybody have that one?

Along with this...I have just ordered front and rear clears from Autodynamic. I will take recommendations on bulb replacements for the rears to make it legal in Seattle (punkdork, maybe you can guide me here). Do I have to put red bulbs in to make it legal?

Also, what bulbs do you guys have in the headlamps? I was looking at the Xeon lights, but is it worth the $620 that the pair would cost? I have the smooth looking bronze thing on my AE, so I'm trying to decide. Thoughts?

Recommendations for getting rid of the rest of the yellow on the headlights would be appreciated (got the side markers taken care of).

I have a 2001 AE also. I tried the Phillips Blue Vision bulbs. A lot of people here have good things to say about them. I think because the AE has the bronze tinted lenses in the headlights the BV bulbs don't work as well as stock. The stock bulbs where Ostrem (sp?) and they seemed brighter. Just my opition. Maybe non blue tinted bulbs but bulbs with a more efficient WHITE light would work. I am still trying to figure it out myself. Hopefully somebody will let us know.
Good luck!!

I don't remember.

You've been here long enough to know not to ask that sort of question.

I see the H3's on AutoOptiks for the fogs....are the Phillips BV's really that blue? Are the ultrawhites nice too?

Where to buy the Raybrigs???

Any opinions on whether its really worth shelling out the cash for a HID conversion kit????

BlueVisions are nice and white... not generic blue.

Raybrigs? wait for a little bit. i've been getting to know the US rep for Raybrig and he can get us group deals on it. so far i've got 2 buyers. i'll try to get a couple more. contact me in a week and i'll get them to you. you can go to www.raybrigusa.com to see what you want. there're new ones out right now but i haven't tried them yet. they're called White Thunders and they're "whiter" than my Metal whites at 4000K vs. 3850K.

HIDs? i wouldn't... IMO. you still can't get High beams... unless anyone knows of it having them for the H4s now?

I have a 2001 AE and the broze headlamps do not interfere with lighting as it is after the light difuser. I have the PIAA Super Plasmas and they are Purple (closer to HID) but not as strong as needed, pattern is more focused versus spread. PIAA has a newer series out next month called Xtreme White and are suppose to be the closest bulb to HID. All their bulbs are SAE certified also.....which means no legal hassles by the 5-oh.
check out www.autobulbdepot.com and www.piaa.com for information.
